Transition of Virgin Active Twickenham, at Allianz Stadium

After almost 20 years of successful partnership, the RFU and Virgin Active have agreed to transition the operation of the gym and leisure club at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham to a new operator, part of the Parkwood Group.

From 1st November current members and staff at Virgin Active Twickenham, at Allianz Stadium will be transferred to a member of the Parkwood Group, maintaining your existing membership and fees. Virgin Active and the Parkwood Group will work together to ensure that this is a smooth transition for everyone. Rest assured that you do not need to do anything or take action for this transfer to take place, and further communications on exciting plans for the club’s future will be shared soon.

The RFU would also like to reassure you – as a valued member of the club – that it remains committed to operating a gym and leisure club at Allianz Stadium and looks forward to working with the Parkwood Group to provide a high-quality facility that supports our local community and rugby family.

The transition of the club at Allianz Stadium will not impact Virgin Active’s wider offering and Virgin Active will continue to invest in its 31 UK based clubs to provide members with a premium environment where they can focus on their physical and mental wellness.

The RFU and Virgin Active would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your loyalty and support as a valued member of the club which has enabled us to collectively deliver an important service to the local community for almost two decades.

We will be in touch with further details soon but, in the meantime, if you have any specific questions, please contact the staff at the club in the first instance who will be able to answer your queries.

Alternatively, you can contact the Parkwood Group at business.development@parkwood-leisure.co.uk, call Virgin Active on 0208 124 4137 or read our FAQs below.

Thank you from the RFU and Virgin Active Teams.
