We host our national swim gala every year at the London Aquatic Centre (LAC), and it's one of our favourite dates on the calendar!
Kids on the swim teams represent their Virgin Active club from across the UK and friends, family and club team members come together to cheer on the kids in each event.

All children aged 8+ who can swim 50 metres and who are enrolled in our swim programme are eligible to participate in our iconic annual swim gala.

What makes our swim gala so great?

Equip your little ones with vital life skills in the water with junior swim lessons available at selected clubs. Our qualified instructors and lifeguards are there with your kids every step of the way.
Juniors aged 4+ can make a start on levels 1-7 of our Learn to Swim programme. In this national awards scheme, we’ll help your child build their skills until they’re ready to join our Junior Squad sessions. There are also parent and baby lessons for children from 3 months - 2 years and pre-school swim lessons available for 3 year olds.
